This axle is specific for Surly MDS or Gnot Boost bikes with 12×142 or 12×148 hub spacing.The derailleur end of this axle is internally threaded and will use the bolt from your stock Surly axle. The disc brake side of our axle has a permanently attached mount that has an external M10x1 thread and includes the hardware to attach any kid trailer hitch to this axle.Robert Axles for Kid Trailers are designed specifically to fit your 12mm thru-axle bike and allow attachment of any hitch-mounted trailer. These fit any trailer that has two wheels and a single point of attachment to the axle. This includes all the two-wheeled child, pet and cargo trailers such as: Thule, Chariot, Burley, Instep, Carry Freedom, and many more.
These hitch mounts are for connecting Surly Bill and Ted trailers to any 10x1mm solid axle; they replace standard locknuts. They also include threaded stubs for direct mount to Surly Troll and Ogre frames; these frames have eyelets drilled into the dropouts specifically for these mounts 3/8" x 26tpi mounts not currently available
