The Terrapin® 8L is an updated, smaller version of the modular Terrapin® System. Like the popular Terrapin System, the mount stays on the bike and the custom fitted drybag is removable for easy packing. With 8 liters of capacity, it is perfect for most lightweight bikepacking trips and fits bikes with low tire clearance. It is perfectly sized for small framed bikes, including plus bikes with inherently diminished clearance.  A key feature of the Terrapin holster-like mount is the Indie-Rail attachment system. This a progression from conventional bikepacking bag mounts where the rail straps are fixed to the top center of the bag. Each rail is cinched down to the sides of the bag, virtually eliminating side to side bag sway without the need for external hardware. We combine this with a rigid internal structure and active camming buckles to prevent straps from slipping on rough terrain. The mount is stiffened on all sides including an external plastic bottom sheet which protects the bottom of the bag like a fender. Revelate Designs Spinelock Seat Bag. The most stable, low profile mounted, feature loaded, waterproof seat bag available. The Spinelock seat bag checks all the boxes.  The Spinelock integrates user tested and approved features like a one-way air purge valve, rear light slots, loop and bungee deck, and an external plastic bottom with a new patented attachment system. Stability was the driving element in the design process. If you want something you can pack and forget, the Spinelock is your seat bag. How it works:  The Spinelock stability system consists of three components: the saddle clamp, seat bag mounted “Spine” baseplate, and pin. A low profile, high strength, forged aluminum clamp works in combination with precision IGUS bushings to form the pin interface. Twin forged upper arms, fastened by Torx-25 bolts, rotate into position above the saddle rails for easy mounting.  Resembling a spine ramp familiar to skateboarders, the "Spine" baseplate is made of an impact resistant UV-stabilized nylon and is integrated to the seat bag surface. The plate features two mounting positions to accommodate seatpost setback and saddle adjustments. To connect the bag, you simply line up your selected mounting position to the seat mounted clamp and slide the pin through the aligned holes. Attaching the side compression straps to the wings of the clamp fixes the pin in place and you’re ready to ride!  Sizing:  There are two size options, neither of which sacrifice features for capacity. The smaller but largely versatile Spinelock 10L maximizes your carry with minimal tire clearance and provies a generous amount of waterproof storage with additional space on the external corded deck. . If you are going on a long expedition or carrying cold weather gear we recommend the Spinelock 16L. Traditional saddle style rails are required.  Does not work with most Brooks saddles. Designed to be the only “Day Ride” Seat bag you’ll ever need. The waterproof Stoat securely carries your tools, tubes, and spares without any zippers or velcro to get gritty and gummed up. The Stoat is the Shrew's little brother - A single TPU strap snugs the bag in between the saddle rails and will not budge in rough terrain (similar to our indie rail style attachment). The interior of the bag is padded with high density foam to provide structure and prevent rattling of contents. The rear closure strap is TPU coated which easily cleans off road grit and mud. The Stoat transforms into a stable on-frame storage bag that can be placed anywhere simply by reversing the direction of the attachment strap. It works exceptionally well on full suspension bikes, or as supplemental storage for a multi-day rig. The Terrapin Drybag is the first of it's kind for bikepacking. It's 3d welded & tapered shape conforms perfectly to the inside of the Terrapin®. RF welded waterproof construction. To still enable compression that the Terrapin™ provides, an air purge valve is located on the right side of the bag. Load the bag and compress the Terrapin with the valve open to release all the air - then close to seal off.
