The Maxxis Aspen ST, brand new now also in 32", is an ultra-low profile racing tire developed primarily for fast XC use. Until recently, this new tire was reserved exclusively for professional teams equipped with Maxxis tires. The tire is based on the Aspen model, but has been specially optimized for racing use. It has a reduced carcass and an extremely low center tread, which makes it particularly suitable for fast tracks and a compact surface. Due to its high speed, it is particularly suitable for dry and grassy conditions, while it is less suitable for technical tracks and wet surfaces.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 30 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 25 and 30 mm.
