René Herse Oracle Ridge - 700C x 48

A road-centric knobby or a dirt-ready road tire? You decide! At 48 mm wide, the Oracle Ridge hits the sweet spot between a narrow gravel tire (38 mm) and mountain bike volume (55 mm).

Developed together with bikepacking legend Lael Wilcox, the Oracle Ridge measures 48 mm wide, making it a perfect fit for many modern gravel bikes. We name our tires after the passes that have inspired them: Oracle Ridge is a beautiful gravel climb outside Tucson, AZ. One of Lael’s favorite routes is climbing the dirt road to Oracle Ridge, then descending the backside of Mount Lemmon on ultra-fast pavement.

While the Oracle Ridge looks like a knobby – and grips like one when conditions get tough – it rolls and corners like a slick tire thanks to its large and strategically placed knobs that don’t squirm and always put the same amount of rubber on the road. The staggered tread pattern not only makes the Oracle Ridge roll even more smoothly, it also reduces tire noise by creating overlapping frequencies that cancel each other. The Oracle Ridge is part of the world’s first bicycle tire line with noise cancellation, a feature we’ve patented because it’s so revolutionary.

More info

Rene Herse tires combine the performance of high-end tubular tires with the convenience of clincher. The supple casings roll smoothly over surface irregularities. The tread pattern interlocks with the road surface for superior cornering grip, whether your roads are wet or dry. The tread has enough thickness in the center to last many miles, but it's thin and supple on the shoulders where it doesn’t wear.

The Standard casing is a more affordable option that also offers extra protection against sidewall cuts on sharp rocks. The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level. The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous.

The Oracle Ridge is tubeless-compatible.
